Um, foxes ruin the vineyard? Yes, or if they fail to do so they complain about sour grapes.

That was a reference to Song of Songs, Aurelius. I don't know if you like love poetry, but it is a gorgeous example of it. And it definitely affirms rather than ignores reality.

Interesting about the plastic. Although I guess most Christians know that a little bit of impurity has far-reaching consequences, for some reason we still need to be reminded of the fact a lot, and it often gives a pang of conviction. I know this post did for me.

And apparently not just me. You know it's a good post when strangers want to debate it.

Um, foxes ruin the vineyard?!?

Thou shall not kill applies to video games? What about writers who describe murders and killings in their works of fiction? Is that not also 'make believe'? When I play paintball, we talk about getting 'frags' or 'kills', is that also a violation of the commandments?

Maybe the great evangelists of the 80's were not brought low by the fact that a bit of black dye in their pure white ministries stained them for life. Maybe they were just shysters who manipulated those who choose not to question those who claim to be of the same religious spin as them. Eventually, they pushed the largess of ignorance so far that they had to trip up. How many of those guys were as nutty as David Koresh?

I think you want to live in a world that is simple and safe too much, to the point that you ignore reality in favor of these sort of overgeneralizations.

Stay groovy.
