I am not yet decided on a position in this matter because it seems that there are prosperity preachers and those who think prosperity preachers are a sham. In fact, while I find scripture teaches us that chasing riches will bring us heart ache and destruction, I don't believe it is telling us that Christians cannot be wealthy. I am not saying that those who profit off of the word of God for selfish reasons are blessed by God. Rather, I'm saying I'm not prepared to condemn a person who God chooses to bless with wealth. I suppose I tend to worry more about my own backyard before condemning others.
