Momentum
Go ahead and be a dreamer! Your dreams, no matter how grand, how impossible, are not as big as the thoughts Father thinks everyday towards us (Is 55:9). Expand your vision across the galaxies and explore the magnitude of the eternal, the depths of God. We are here to bring those discoveries to the earth. This is how the kingdom of heaven comes and fills the earth (Mt 6:6; 10). It is through us, through the Church, that this is accomplished. Therefore, we must lift our visions to make impossibilities into realities.
We knew the universe was big, however, when the Hubble telescope was built, we could see things we were only able to dream of before. It took our understanding to an entirely new level. In the same way, our dreams too can become realities.
Christianity is changing. If we simply look back at the previous century, you can see a momentum has been building within the revelation and understanding of God-the Father, the Son, and Spirit. Many focus on the increase of darkness, when rather we should focus on the increase of light. It is light whose brightness has been increasing. The cool thing is that God slowly turns up the light to allow our eyes to adjust to its rays. But, the more we see, the more we see. Things that were previously just dreams have now become realities. We were given revelation telescopes, new lenses through which to view the Father.
This morning I watched a video by Don Nori Sr. He was speaking along these lines and referenced how we were to “go where no man has gone before.” This stirred my heart because I previously wrote that “I want to explore the heart of God the same way Captain Kirk explored space.” Upon watching this video, I was reminded of this old blog post of which contained the first paragraph. Then all of this seemed to come together along with some things God has been speaking to me.
I do believe that there is a momentum building in both heaven and earth. There seems to be a tide rolling in of unimaginable importance for the hour. I don’t know if anyone has seen or grasped it in full, but I believe many have seen glimpses of it. Some can feel its coming and they are afraid because they do not realize it is a cosmic shift of the increase of His glory. Within a fellowship of revelations, we may see a picture begin to form of some clarity, but I feel it’s as if what we see at the far reaches of the universe, through the telescope of revelation, is coming towards us. Everything will change because we now see it in light of this revelation. If the Word is the container or steward of the these revelations, then it will be as if the Bible has ignited. The stories will be alive in our hearts in whole new ways. What seemed like fantasies will suddenly become realities for us to fly on. Superheros will be shown as the reality of the supernatural kisses earth.
I write this on December 30th, 2010, simply trying to unlock things that the Spirit has revealed to my heart (1 Cor 2). As another year falls upon us, let us embrace a resolution in the Spirit. A resolution that the light of God’s glory will shine through us, driving back every form of darkness. Let us raise our flags this year in eager expectation of global revival, revolution, and reformation, not to what came before, but to this new movement of God, this new wineskin.
Once again this was an article of which I am trying to put to words what is beating in my heart, and not a theological treatise.
