I really like this article on apostles true and false. False and premature apostles are many right now, but thanks for not focusing on their traits; I think comparing all who 'call themselves apostles' to Jesus Christ is the fastest way to discern the true from the false. Even an 'apostle-in-training' who has never done a miraculous deed can be known by his/her character and the authentic Love that spills from his/her simple daily walk; that Love is 'deep', coming from God's Heart, and cannot be replicated by human or evil spirit.

I can't read enough about apostles though most everything is a reiteration of what I've heard or read somewhere else. The churches desperately need true apostolic leadership-- not just from apostles but mature 'apostolic leaders' who are moved by (ie. whose lives are lived solely because of) the Spirit of Christ. Lovelessness and Loneliness are two of many outstanding problems in America and churches that desperately need addressing. Funny, Lawlessness is in there too, so it's like 'the nasty 3 Ls' or something.

I wonder if an apostle ever has any rest. It seems that from preparation till death, there is constant dying and suffering in such a life. Does it talk about this in the Bible? Again, thanks for this article.
