I grew up in the quiet plains of Saskatchewan, Canada. My parents were very loving Christians and I had a lot of fun and adventures growing up. Spiritually, I’ve always wanted to know God and I’ve always loved reading his word since I was able to read. In high school and the last two years of elementary school I was in a program called bible quizzing. It’s a pretty competitive christian sport where you memorize as much of a portion of the bible as you can and then compete in teams to win trophies and scholarships and glory. This really helped me to memorize whole books of the bible and grow to appreciate God’s word more and more.

In high school I went on a missions program called Street Invaders. They have a charismatic atmosphere for the whole program and it blew open all of the paradigms I’d had about God. I saw my friend’s ankle get healed and I heard people speak in tongues. I was prophesied over accurately and had the most intimate worship times of my life. I came home knowing that God is more real than I had ever imagined. Each year the fire in my heart grew, and my passion for him increased. I co-led the christian group at my high school for two years and worked at a local christian camp each summer.
Then I spent a year at a non-denominational bible college in Saskatchewan where I was absolutely immersed in the word of God and grew a lot there. But I knew I needed a lot more practical training and experience, so I went down to Concord, North Carolina to attend FIRE school of ministry. God has transformed my life here and increased my boldness and love for him. My heart burns to see men and women come to know the God who has given all for them.
